THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

When my shitzu daughter Sheba passed away in September 2019 i was devastated. She was such an important part of my life and i miss her everyday. The following is a story of 'The Rainbow Bridge', which I believe to be a true story and i look forward to being reunited with my little girl Sheba.

2021: Hang In There!

It’s been a tough year to be sure. New Year’s Eve 2019 going into 2020 everything seemed so hopeful. I remember making resolutions to travel more, spend more time outdoors, I remember promising myself that 2020 was going to be a great year…what a fool I was and I didn’t/couldn’t know it. Because of some virus that was birthed in a country that tried to hide it our entire world has been turned upside down. Friends and family lost jobs and lost so much because of something beyond our control. For the most part I worked through the pandemic; I had to take a week off here and there due to illness. I did have to take more time off in the summer due to health issues in regards to my brain. But I am all better now and doing alright considering we are still in a global pandemic. My job unfortunately was not immune to 2020; I have lost some income now as a result of political events beyond my control in 2020. I keep telling myself I am lucky to even have a job but that line doesn’t make things easier. But I am blessed: I have income, even if decreased. I have my health, and most importantly I have my friends and family. 

Hang in there friends: things will get better again.

Entitlement at it’s finest

As leaders they need to lead by example. So if they are asking us to stay home and avoid non essential travel they as leaders need to do the same. 

Also because of the pandemic and the decisions made by the UCP a lot of people are struggling right now. People are having a hard time financially while our elected officials have not missed one paycheque. Maybe non essential travel isn’t the best idea when the people who are responsible for your paycheque are suffering, aka “the taxpayers”.

Some of them have been punished by Jason Kenney via a Facebook post, but he needs to face the public and acknowledge his mistakes. He had to have known they were travelling, despite the fact he claims ignorance. I’m so sick of the UCP; they are simply PC 2.0. 

The provincial NDP will be getting my vote next election. It’s a crazy time to be an Albertan and Canadian: I’ll be voting NDP in the next Provincial election and the Conservatives will be getting my Federal vote. Why? Two parties on the opposite side of the spectrum; but they are our best options as Albertans in my opinion.

Spoiler Free Review: Cobra Kai Season 3

Binging the 10 episodes of season 3 took about a day. It was so good and my wife and I couldn’t help but keep watching. A lot of great surprises this season and I am looking forward to season 4!!! 

A solid 4.75 out of 5 stars for me. 

Meaning behind the picture:

I’ve lost all faith in the Alberta Conservative Government (UCP), so going forward the NDP will get my vote. They seem to care for the people and I think they deserve another chance to govern. 

I will not dedicate my life to one religion over another, but there are elements of Christianity I like and believe in. I do pray from time to time. 

I am an aspiring Buddhist and I believe in karma and reincarnation, but I struggle at meditation. 

The ideals of Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets from the original/Gene Roddenberry ‘Star Trek’ universe is something I hope to see humanity achieve one day. 

I like the design of Thor’s hammer. 

And lastly Captain America is in my mind the best role model to come out of comic books and the MCU. He is a member of the greatest generation and it was that generation that fought for the rights and freedoms we all take for granted.
